Emley Show has for many years brought you some of the most entertaining showground and main ring attraction you will probably see – and 2012 will be just as spectacular.

Past years attractions have included dog displays, llama agility, falconry displays, duck herding, racing terriers, dancers, children’s rides, climbing walls, silver bands, jazz bands, puppet shows, plus many more – and this doesn’t include the hundreds of classes and competitions.

 

The Knights of the Damned

The first attraction confirmed for Emley Show 2012 is the amazing must-see The Knights of the Damned Jousting Stunt Team who will be presenting their ‘Olympic Games Joust of the Home Nations’ – new for 2012.

The Knights of the Damned will perform a fantastic, coloured costumed display of Medieval Jousting at its very best. It will include heroic mounted knights and their squires, with fanfares and commentary. The show also boasts superbly choreographed foot fights with unmercilous swords, flaming fireballs on chains and unyielding quarterstaffs as well as the knights romantically accepting favours from the ladies and fighting for their honour.The show includes spectacular action, galloping horses, stunts, falls and awesome fire weapons that will take your breath away.

The riders have performed in high quality medieval jousting displays for over 20 years and managed by film stuntman Justin Pearson. Justin has been a professional stunt performer and a member of the prestigious ‘Equity Stunt Register’ since 1999 and has performed in Pirates of the Caribbean, Clash of the Titans, Mamma Mia, Kick-Ass, Star Wars, Harry Potter and new James Bond film Skyfall.

Britain’s premier Medieval Jousting stunt team, the Knights of the Damned, will be performing their fantastic brand new display featuring the four famous knights of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Led by SAG award winning Movie Stuntman, Justin Pearson, their jousting display will boast high speed action and jaw-dropping stunts in a fantastic colourful spectacle for all the family. Look out for the gold and red colours of William Wallace from Scotland, Owain Glyndwr of Wales, England’s St George and the lesser known Irish Knight, Edmond de Burgh, all fighting to be crowned champion of the British Isles The Knights of the Damned provide a modern day medieval show full of exciting stunts and horsemanship built up from having performed at major venues throughout Britain and Europe since 1990 and they are also professional stuntmen from the big screen with credits such as the Wrath of the Titans, Pirates of the Caribbean 4 – On Stranger Tides and new James Bond movie, Skyfall. The show includes spectacular action, galloping horses, stunts, falls, awesome fire weapons, introductions, professional commentary and rock music that will leave you truly breathless! Other Attractions

As well as the Knights of The Damned, ring one will also include Ferret Racing and a Tractor Parade – and around the showground, you will find the Fun Dog show, the Mini-Zoo (including meerkats, snakes and large spiders), Childrens Rides, Donkey Rides, Emley Band and Geoff Mottram’s Owl Rescue.

Geoff Mottram’s Owl Rescue from Penistone has been a regular crowd favourite, with one of his owls making its 21st consecutive appearance at Emley Show. With this in mind we wish to thank Geoff and all his hard work and support he has given us over the years.
